Dan O’Neil was a victim of the shootings at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007. In addition to being a dedicated engineering student, Dan was a talented, self-taught musician. The Daniel O’Neil Memorial Fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, RI who have financial need and wish to attend college. Scholarships are awarded to students who have participated in band or chorus and have demonstrated the same passion and commitment to music that Dan O’Neil did.

The CD, titled “Resident Hippy,” includes a booklet of lyrics and photos, and features music recorded during Dan’s undergraduate years at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, as well as during his time as a graduate student at Virginia Tech.
